Jimmy Nardello Sweet Red Chile Pepper
Heirloom
80-90 Days From Transplant
Open-pollinated
10 seeds

This fine Italian pepper was brought to America by Giuseppe Nardiello in 1887 from southern Italy.  It was named after their 4th son "Jimmy."  A long, thin-skinned frying pepper that dries easily  with a rich, sweet flavor.  This prolific pepper grows most anywhere up to 10" long and ripens to a deep red on short plants that grow to about 24." Delicious cooked with a little olive oil, grilled, sauteed, diced on salads and even makes a good pickled pepper as well as used in salsas. A true all purpose pepper!
