Eucalyptus Corymbia citriodora
Lemon-Scented Gum
Bright white tufts blossom among rich green, narrow leaf clusters that crown the canopy and infuses a strong, lemony scent to the air. Smooth, pale bark sheds from the tree in light curls, revealing a copper color during the summer. Growing up to 35 meters, this eucalyptus has a stately presence. One of the most beautiful landscapes featuring Corymbia citriodora is the avenue of trees found in Kings Park, in Perth. This species thrives in full sunlight and is drought tolerant, making it ideal for xeriscaping. It is also quite popular as a bonsai project.
