Grown mainly for a desert look in the landscape, as well as, for succulent lovers in container pots indoors or on the deck. Green - Yellow blooms rise from gray-green leaves on aged, well established plants. This drought tolerant plant is also moderately cold tolerant and will not disappoint. Plant close together for a more dramatic show. Plant in sandy soil or specialized cactus potting mix and water plants when dry. Keep seeds moderately moist for germination. Needs good drainage. Leaves have spiny tips and sharp spines.
